The University of New Haven freshmen Class of 2019 moved to campus on Thu. Aug. 20. with the help of upperclassmen students volunteering as part of Welcome Wagon. Throughout the day, students were encouraged to visit the New Student Resource Fair in the Beckerman Recreation Center, where campus offices and a variety of local businesses were present with tips and resources to aid freshmen around both UNH and the New Haven area. Welcome Week continues on into the first week of classes and each day, a variety of activities geared toward acclimating freshmen to UNH are offered around campus. Some of these events included an ice cream social in the Maxcy Quad, a Block Party in the Bayer parking lot and a Class BBQ social in Celentano Hall Quad.
