Fall brings the beginnings of so many things: school, new fashions, and of course, season and series premieres. There are the old standbys starting again, but there are also a slew of great new shows to watch this fall.
On 90210, the West Beverly kids graduated at the end of last season, and the new season shows them in college and dealing with some deep, real life issues. At the end of The Big Bang Theory, Penny and Raj spent the night together and Priya and Leonard were having problems dealing with Priya leaving for India. This new season will show how Penny and Raj deal with the aftermath, and Priya and Leonard try a long distance relationship. On Blue Bloods, Frank and Danny found out who the dirty cops of the Blue Templar were that were responsible for Joe’s death. On the new season, David Ramsey joins the cast as the new mayor and causes some issues with his different views. Some other returning shows are Boardwalk Empire, Bones, Castle, Chuck, and Community.
Criminal Minds starts again along with CSI, CSI: Miami, and CSI: NY. Desperate Housewives is coming back for its final season, while Dexter is starting again dealing with some hefty issues. Glee is going to take the fall by storm, and The Good Wife will be back with some risky situations. Fan favorites Gossip Girl, House, and Grey’s Anatomy will be back, and Harry’s Law and Hawaii Five-0 will also be back. How I Met Your Mother will be back with a lot of surprises, and Law & Order: SVU is coming back without Stabler! The Mentalist and Modern Family are coming back along with NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Nikita. The Office, Parenthood, Parks and Recreation are all coming back. Private Practice, Psych, and Supernatural are returning, Two and a Half Men will be back with Ashton Kutcher instead of Charlie Sheen, and The Vampire Diaries is also returning.
There are also a ton of widely anticipated new shows starting this fall. The comedy, 2 Broke Girls, a new animated comedy Allen Gregory, and psychosexual horror mystery series American Horror Story are coming this fall. The drama about a sick mayor of Chicago, Boss, and the action-packed remake, Charlie’s Angels are coming this fall. In fact, Charlie’s Angels is premiering the same day that the original premiered 35 years ago. Enlightened, Free Agents, and A Gifted Man are among the new arrivals. Grimm, based on Grimm’s fairy tales and H8er, the new reality show hosted by Mario Lopez are also added to the mix.
Rachel Bilson returns to the small screen in Hart of Dixie. Hell on Wheels and Homeland, starring Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin, are starting. How to be a Gentleman and I Hate My Teenage Daughter are sure-to-please comedies. Last Man Standing and Man Up! are both about the emasculation of men, but with comedic twists. New Girl, starring Zooey Deschanel is coming this fall on Fox. Once Upon a Time, a show about a town frozen in a time of fairy tales should be fun to watch. Pan Am, and The Playboy Club are both set in the ‘60s, and Person of Interest and Prime Suspect are the newest crime television shows. Revenge, Ringer, and The Secret Circle are starting this fall. Suburgatory, Terra Nova, and Unforgettable are coming this fall. Up All Night, starring Christina Applegate and Will Arnett, and Whitney are premiering. The X Factor, Simon Cowell’s British talent show is coming to America this fall.
