Positive

+ The first full week of classes was already disrupted thanks to Winter Storm Juno; classes were cut on Monday afternoon and all day Tuesday, meaning there’s no need to get out of bed. 12 straight hours of Netflix anyone?

+ Spending time with friends after spending a month on your mom’s couch can be a wonderful thing! So is doing something other than staring at a TV screen for five weeks straight.
Negative

– Sadly, Henry Edwin “Hank” Bartels passed away Jan. 16. Mr. Bartels was an amazingly generous supporter of higher education, the arts, health care and has done so much to make the University of New Haven a better place. He will be missed, and his influence and enormous support will be forever remembered. .

– If the weather remains stormy for much longer, and classes continue to be cancelled, I’m predicting a bit of cabin fever will soon ensue.
The Battery Charge

Stay warm and, most importantly, stay safe as you travel to and from campus this week through the snow! Take the snow days to extend your winter vacation and get ready to tackle the oncoming semester head-on!
