Who will come out on top this season?
(Winning picks in bold)
Buffalo Bills @ Cleveland Browns
-Both teams had impressive wins on Sunday. This could, however, be a sloppy game on Thursday Night Football. Expect the game to be close with the Bills winning late in the game.
Kansas City @ Tennessee Titans
-The Chiefs are 4-0 to start the season and show no signs of slowing down. Expect the Chiefs to get to 5-0 with the win. The Titans are 3-1 and are playing well so far this season. Their quarterback went down and left the game on the stretcher. The Titans will probably have to win without him.
Baltimore Ravens @ Miami Dolphins
-Joe Flacco had a rough game for the Ravens, throwing five interceptions. Flacco needs to be careful with the football. The Ravens are tied for the lead for the division so they aren’t in major trouble just yet. The Dolphins are for real and will give the Patriots a run for their money in the AFC East. Expect a close game, with the Dolphins winning.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ St. Louis Rams
-The Jaguars keep getting worse and haven’t been able to win a game this season. Meanwhile the Rams have struggled, but Sam Bradford should lead his team to victory in St. Louis.
New England Patriots @ Cincinnati Bengals
-The Patriots have played a weak schedule en route to their 4-0 start. Tom Brady and company looked much better on Sunday Night Football and should beat the Bengals. The Bengals have been inconsistent this season and suffered a setback losing to the Browns on Sunday. Expect a good matchup in this game.
Seattle Seahawks @ Indianapolis Colts
-Russell Wilson rallied the Seahawks from 17 points down to tie the game. The Seahawks then kicked a game winning field goal in overtime to improve their record to 4-0, and keep a two game division lead over the 49ers. The Colts are coming off a huge win over Jacksonville. Quarterback Andrew Luck and running back Trent Richardson will need to play even better if they want to upset the Seahawks.
Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers
The only things going for the Packers this week are that they have Aaron Rodgers and are coming off a bye week. The Packers need to regroup after a slow start to the 2013 campaign. Detroit is coming off a win over the previously unbeaten Bears and should make this is a good game at Lambeau Field.
New Orleans Saints @ Chicago Bears
-Expect the Bears to pull out a win with their offense. Drew Brees for the Saints throws for a lot of yards and will be tough to stop by the Bears’ defense. The Saints’ defense has struggled through the first few games and needs to step up in order to stop Jay Cutler and the Bears.
Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Giants
-The Giants and Eagles have both gotten off to ugly starts. The Eagles have at least managed to generate some offense. The Giants have struggled offensively and defensively. The O-Line can’t protect Eli Manning and the defense gives up entirely too many points. Eli is just five sacks away from tying his entire total for the 2012 season. Expect the Eagles to use their high-powered offense to roll over the Giants.
Carolina Panthers @ Arizona Cardinals
-Carolina looks to get to .500 and gain some momentum. Cam Newton needs to throw better and be more consistent running the football if he wants to win. The Cardinals have been up and down so far and will need to play better. The Cardinals need to win to keep pace with the frontrunners in the NFC West.
San Diego Chargers @ Oakland Raiders
-San Diego is coming off a come-from-behind win over the Cowboys and look to get over .500 with a win in Oakland. The Raiders are in the basement of the AFC West. Philip Rivers threw for 401 yards for the Chargers on Sunday. Look for Rivers and Antonio Gates to lead the Chargers to victory.
Denver Broncos @ Dallas Cowboys
-No team looks good enough to stop the Broncos this season. They keep scoring touchdown after touchdown. Peyton Manning is playing better than he ever played before. Their offense and defense has been spectacular. On Sunday they proved their special teams is dominant too. The Broncos are one of the most well-rounded football teams people have ever seen. Expect a big win for the Broncos in Dallas
Houston Texans @ San Francisco 49ers
-The Texans suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Seahawks on Sunday, blowing a 17-point lead. Houston should bounce back from the loss to beat the 49ers, which haven’t been the same team they were last season. Colin Kaepernick needs to improve for the 49ers if they want to win.
New York Jets @ Atlanta Falcons
-Atlanta has played terribly in the first four games this season, but expect them to rebound with a win over the Jets. The Falcons should roll over the Jets, who are trying to compete with rookie quarterback Geno Smith. Atlanta needs their defense to step up and shut down New York. The defense has been giving up too many points. Expect the Falcons to win in the Georgia Dome.
