Hey everyone! Wow did this year fly by, seems like just yesterday I was welcoming you all back from winter and spring break! Let’s back track for one minute and see what some of you missed last week.

On Tuesday we had a lecture named “When the Gays Move into Mr. Rogers’s Neighborhood” by Joe and Bil. It was a great lecture talking about the in’s and out’s of GBLTQ. Joe and Bil talked about a ton of topics and even answered questions from the audience. To wrap up their lecture, SCOPE’S comedy and lecture committee had them give-away a pink toaster to a lucky winner. Wednesday we had Double Dare, which had been rescheduled due to rain. This was brought to you by all of SCOPE and included inflatables earlier in the day. It was a very informative day and might I add a very messy experience. In true Double Dare fashion there were question rounds, obstacle courses, physical challenges, and lots of slime.

The movie last week was When in Rome. Thursday night special events hosted Stevie Star the Human Regurgitator. Stevie swallowed everything from coins, to fish, to lighter fluid. It was pretty neat to see: minus the sound effects! One lucky winner took all three of the swallowed fish home as a prize. Friday night we had giant games in the Maxcy parking lot that included giant kurplunk, twister, tricycles, chair photos, connect four and much more! Saturday and Sunday we had off campus trips: Saturday was to Six Flags and Sunday was to Elizabeth New Jersey to take a tour of fire houses with the fire science club. Last week was a great week with lots of fun filled events. We only have two short weeks left so make sure to come by all our events so you don’t miss out! Now on to the upcoming events:

Wednesday: concert tickets sales are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for undergrads, grads, and guest tickets.

Thursday: concert ticket sales are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for undergrads, grads, and guest tickets.

You must have your UNH ID and be present to get a ticket. Guests must be 18 years of age and have a photo ID with them at the concert. Remember, only one guest is allowed per UNH student.

The movie this week will be playing on Wednesday in the Alumni at 7:30 and Thursday at 9:00 in the Upper Student Lounge. The movie this week is Day Breakers.

Then it is the weekend which means: SPRING WEEKEND IS HERE!! Spring Weekend is the best weekend by far and there is so much that will be going on! SCOPE will be hosting this year’s spring concert up at the charger gymnasium at 7:00 p.m. Saturday SCOPE will be hosting the carnival at north campus. There will be plenty of surprises for everyone: don’t be shocked if we top last year! Saturday Night the comedy and lecture committee will be hosting Bo Burnham in the charger gymnasium at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday SCOPE’s Film committee will be hosting its annual drive in movie in the quad. The movie, Book of Eli will start at 8:30 p.m. Trust me this is one you won’t want to miss! Blankets will be given away to the first hundred students that attend!

The following week we will end the semester with a few more events I know you won’t want to miss! Monday comedy and lecture will be hosting the real live Hitch, the Dating Doctor, in Dodds Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday will have a relaxation package in the German Club from 12 to 5 p.m. Stop by to get a massage, ice cream, chocolate fountain, oxygen bar, and plenty more. That night we have our last Beanhouse of the year and it will be Cinco de Mayo themed!

So that is this week’s edition of SCOPE it out, Come on out to all of our events, you won’t regret it!

Enjoy the rest of the semester and always remember that if you’re bored at night there is most likely a SCOPE event going on! Have a great week everyone!!!
