Hey everyone! Wow did this year fly by, seems like just yesterday I was welcoming you all back from winter and spring break! Let’s back track for one minute and see what some of you missed last week.
On Tuesday we had a lecture named “When the Gays Move into Mr. Rogers’s Neighborhood” by Joe and Bil. It was a great lecture talking about the in’s and out’s of GBLTQ. Joe and Bil talked about a ton of topics and even answered questions from the audience. To wrap up their lecture, SCOPE’S comedy and lecture committee had them give-away a pink toaster to a lucky winner. Wednesday we had Double Dare, which had been rescheduled due to rain. This was brought to you by all of SCOPE and included inflatables earlier in the day. It was a very informative day and might I add a very messy experience. In true Double Dare fashion there were question rounds, obstacle courses, physical challenges, and lots of slime.
The movie last week was When in Rome. Thursday night special events hosted Stevie Star the Human Regurgitator. Stevie swallowed everything from coins, to fish, to lighter fluid. It was pretty neat to see: minus the sound effects! One lucky winner took all three of the swallowed fish home as a prize. Friday night we had giant games in the Maxcy parking lot that included giant kurplunk, twister, tricycles, chair photos, connect four and much more! Saturday and Sunday we had off campus trips: Saturday was to Six Flags and Sunday was to Elizabeth New Jersey to take a tour of fire houses with the fire science club. Last week was a great week with lots of fun filled events. We only have two short weeks left so make sure to come by all our events so you don’t miss out! Now on to the upcoming events:
