On Friday, April 13 on the Bartels Patio, SCOPE Weekend Programming held a Ping Pong Tournament. After SCOPE and a couple of friends put the ping pong table together, which was an event all itself, the games started.
It was a tough competition, but everyone that came had tons of fun. Some players were taking the competition seriously, and others were there to just hang out with some friends and have a good time. Students that knew how to play and were taking the games seriously played first and were competing for a twenty-five dollar gas gift card. SCOPE Weekend Programming paired the first two players and whoever won played the next person in line and so on until there was a victor.
For those students that didn’t know how to play and just want to have fun pretending to be Forrest Gump, there were ping pong balls flying everywhere and even SCOPE people were getting in on the fun. But it was a good workout for everyone, hitting ping pong balls back and forth and then chasing the ones that got away.
Whether students knew how to play or not, everyone had fun and had a good time, and one person got a gift card for gas. Everyone could use one of those since the price of gas is so high.
