Positives
Congratulations to all the girls who received bids from our sororities on campus! Hope everyone has an exciting journey while pledging. Now may the fraternity rushing commence.
Phenomenal job to everyone involved with the Chinese New Year festival in Dodds, Feb. 7. From martial arts, singing, bands, piano playing, and traditional dances, this show was an impressive display of culture by all! Plus all the Chinese food served afterwards was no shortcoming.
Negatives
The snow and ice and water makes it much easier to trip and fall around campus….almost too easy. I have a conspiracy theory that some spots are purposefully not doused with salt for comic relief.
Twenty out of twenty-three of the Black Student Union’s signs for Black History Month have been stolen! The theory of snow-accumulation hiding them has been ruled out, but this case is far from solved. Who finds amusement in ruining a tradition?
Battery Charge
Four snow days? The groundhog was right this year, looks like several more weeks of winter are ahead. It may be spring semester, but spring is surely not anywhere in sight. I’m currently trying to rationalize if all the tuition money lost due to the absence of classes is worth all these free days. Then I remember that sleeping in until noon is so worth it.
