A lot of local folks are rolling up their sleeves and helping out the people of Haiti. The La Palette Bakery in Watertown offered up 10-percent of their sales of these tasty breads, cookies and cakes to ” Save the Children .”
They wanted to be one of the first businesses in their community to reach out to those in need.
“Just to be able to wake up everyday and see a happy healthy baby that has a family and parents, I can’t imagine what some of these kids are going through right now,” said Carlos Perez of La Palette Bakery.
They also held a canned goods drive giving in every way they could.
They say the response from their customers was overwhelming.
