Milford, Conn. (WTNH) – Grief counselors will be on hand at Foran High School in Milford today as police investigate a crash that killed a brother and sister.
19-year-old Paul John Heron was driving. His 15-year-old sister Alexa Heron was in the passenger seat. The two died after their car hit a utility pole on Gulf Street yesterday afternoon.
The crash happened on Gulf Street, right on Long Island Sound, near the Heron’s home. At 3:20 yesterday afternoon, Paul was driving a Honda Civic Eastbound on Gulf Street near Old Field Lane. The car slid off the road and into a utility pole.
Paul died right there. Alexa was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital and pronounced dead there.
He was a 2008 graduate of Foran High School . She was a sophomore at Foran. On Facebook, hundreds of people have signed up for memorial sites set up in their memories.
There will be grief counselors available at Foran High today for students and staff. The cause of the accident is still being investigated by Milford police. Anyone who may have been in the area or who has information about the crash is asked to contact police at 203-783-4749.
