New Haven recently hosted its eighth installment of the extremely popular, biannual New Haven Restaurant Week. This year’s Spring
Restaurant Week was held from Sunday, April 15 to Friday, April 20 offering Connecticut diners interesting and delicious tasting menus at many of the Elm City’s popular eateries.
Patrons of this year’s Restaurant Week had the opportunity to experience a variety of menu items from over 34 restaurants including contemporary Italian cuisine at L’Orcio, creative sushi landmark Miya’s Sushi, and Moroccan steakhouse Gilt.
Participating restaurants offered a prix fixe three-course lunch and dinner menus comprised of an appetizer, entrée, and dessert alongside their traditional menu offerings. All restaurants offered their prix fixe lunch menu for $18, with the dinner menu costing $32, an affordable way to experience New Haven dining.
“We are very excited to host another restaurant week this spring, allowing diners to experience New Haven’s award-winning dining scene at affordable prices,” said New Haven Mayor John DeStefano, Jr. “New Haven Restaurant Week is no longer thought of as simply an event but rather a seasonal tradition for residents and visitors alike, and this spring will continue New Haven Restaurant Week’s impressive success story.”
New Haven Restaurant Week, which began as an annual event, increased the occurrence of the occasion biannually due to growing popularity amongst New Haven natives and visitors from all over the New England region.
This spring offered extra incentives to foodies everywhere! By presenting your restaurant week receipt at retailors such as The Yale Bookstore, Froyo World, archetype clothing, and Peter Indorf Jewelers among others, customers received an instant discount of 10%. If you unfortunately missed out on this season’s event, you only have to countdown a few quick months until November’s fare!
