This week leaves us with trailers galore.
A new trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road was released, showing even more beautifully rendered car chases against a post-apocalyptic sandstorm. Also released was a new trailer for Poltergeist, which is looking more and more like it is going to live up to the 1982 original masterpiece.
Also, the first trailer for the next James Bond film Spectre was released. While not showing much, it did reveal Christoph Waltz as the villain. All of the mentioned trailers can be found on YouTube.
Also in the world of movie news, the 2016 Deadpool film has officially been given an R rating, meaning that the merc with a mouth will be slaughtering his opponents in the most bloody and entertaining ways possible.
The much-anticipated Batman v. Superman will have its trailer debut with the aforementioned Mad Max film, another reason to see it on the big screen.
And finally, close to my heart, the first image from the 2016 Toho Godzilla reboot was released. To clarify, after the 2014 American produced film Godzilla was a critical and financial success, the Japanese company that brought the monster to life 60 years ago, Toho, made plans to produce a new Godzilla film, separate from the 2014 American film and its 2018 sequel. The first picture from the 2016 film shows Godzilla’s foot, which shows a return to the classic wide feet that leave large footprints. This is very reassuring, as the one flaw with the 2014 design was Godzilla’s stubby feet.
