Magical miscellaneous funds
Organizations are always looking for ways to get more funding and one way to do that is by requesting additional funds through the USGA Miscellaneous account.
The USGA Miscellaneous account is an account that consists of the rollover from last year’s USGA funds that went unspent and the money that was left over from the yearly budget process. The Miscellaneous account gives organizations an opportunity to receive additional USGA funding to put on new events or make events currently planned even better.
When coming up before budget committee, it’s always wise to make sure that the request is detailed and that you, as the RSO, are prepared to talk about and defend your request!
Time is everything so make sure that you, as the RSO, are continuing to stay organized and on top of your finances!
