Budgeting Basics

RSOs: as we move further into this semester, this means that the Yearly Budget Process is quickly approaching! Here’s a couple of tips that can help when preparing for the Yearly Budget Process.

First off the easiest thing you can do when looking ahead is to track what you have spent so far this year. I understand of your budgets for the spring semester haven’t been utilized, however, getting an idea of what you have spent or plan to spend will give you a better understanding of what you may want to budget for next year.

Next—pay attention to deadlines! There are a number of deadlines associated with the Yearly Budget Process so it very important that your RSO plays close attention to all information that is sent out. The third is to attend the Yearly Budget training session that will be taking place later this semester.
