SCOPE is still going strong and is keeping up the hard work with their weekly movies. Last week’s movie took everyone by surprise at moments. On Tuesday and Friday in the Bartels Cafeteria, the SCOPE Film Committee showed The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
The movie that was based on the book by Stieg Larsson did a good job of showing the story from the book. Daniel Craig plays Mikael Blomkvist, a disgraced journalist who wants to improve his career and thinks that he can do that by investigating the disappearance of a wealthy heiress from forty years ago. Blomkvist enlists the help of computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, played by Rooney Mara. Both characters get more than they bargained for during their investigation.
This movie had some very different scenes that surprised a lot of the audience members. But on Friday, like every week, Film Committee served popcorn. Stay tuned for more movies because the SCOPE Film Committee is going strong until the end of the semester with movies every week.
