The Positives:
Grill 155 is now open on the weekends, so students who don’t want to wait until dinner, but are hungry after brunch, can go get some lunch at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It’s good to see that student suggestions are being heard and taken into account.
It was Good Neighbor week this past week. It was nice to see all of the residence halls doing something nice for all of the different offices and departments on campus.
The Negatives:
Students should be able to check somewhere either online or via Blackboard 9 how many meals they have remaining for the week or the semester. It would be good to keep track just in case someone is running low.
Flooding on campus was especially bad this week when it was raining really hard last Friday. Many of the areas that used to have bad flooding have been fixed, but there are still some other places including in front of Soundview and in the back of Maxcy that still flood during heavy rain.
The Battery Charge:
Many of the students on campus have meal plan C, which gives a student 75 meals a semester. However, with no way to moderate how many meals a student has remaining, later in the semester will bring a surprise when the last meal is used. Just like the balance of dining dollars is printed on the receipt when a student uses his/her dining dollars, a meal balance should be printed on the receipt as well. If that is too complicated to work out, simply putting the balance on Blackboard in the campus card section would be sufficient.
