The Positives:
It was great to see such a massive turnout at last Tuesday’s club fair. The rec center was filled with students looking to join something new. It was also nice to see upperclassmen there as well. It’s always good to join something new every year, and at this school, there is so much to choose from.
With Sunday marking the tenth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, I’m proud that our school helped in honoring those who lost their lives on that day. There were many events planned this past weekend including a human “U.S.A.” and a candle light vigil. It’s nice to see the campus community come together for events like these.
The Negatives:
Students should read the emails they are sent, instead of just deleting them based on the subject or who sent it. That’s how you miss getting valuable information.
Dining at New Hall these past two weeks have been difficult. Lately, the staff who have been reading order numbers over the microphone have been calling out the numbers over each other. If both sides are going to read their numbers at the same time, it sounds like a garbled mess that no one can understand. It makes listening for your order number harder than it needs to be.
The Battery Charge:
I understand that most students on this campus feel that they receive too many emails on a daily basis from UNH. Emails about events, clubs, and meetings always seem to be going out. So naturally, most students delete all their emails, never opening a single one, unless it’s from the Financial Aid or Bursar’s office. I’m a firm believer that students should at least open their emails and see what’s inside. Many times I’ve heard people say that they missed important information, because they didn’t bother to read an email. It takes two seconds to open an email. Not all of them are going to be important to you, but it’s better just to check.
