The Positives:
I know this may be a negative for most people, but I actually greatly enjoy the rain. It is mostly because it gives me an excuse to sit inside and play some Black Ops.
I went to the Fire Science Banquet again this year. I’ve been going every year since I was a freshman, and I have say as always it was fabulous and a lot of fun. I would suggest to you all to choose at least one event and go to it every year. It forms a kind of tradition for yourself, and I find that it is a very important thing to do in life.
The Negatives:
I hate that the week before we have any sort of vacation, teachers decide to assign all sorts of homework, projects, and tests. Most of it is either due right before or right after said vacation, and it makes it rather difficult to truly relax and enjoy it. I don’t want to have to do work over the break; it’s called a break for a reason!
I know that many students were upset this weekend when there was a plethora of accepted students that attended the Accepted Student’s Day this Saturday. Many people complained that they are never informed about when these events are happening or when they are going to be taking up the entirety of Bartels.
The Battery Charge:
I know this is a complaint about admissions not letting students know about an event, but this problem goes farther to the university itself. I feel, and I know there are other students that feel the same way, that the university just does stuff without telling us. We’re not asking you to ask whether it can proceed or not, but at least have the common courtesy to give us a heads up that something is going on.
