The Positives:
It looks as if the weather is finally starting to turn around. Yes, the cold breezes early in the morning are still a pain, but as the afternoon rolls around, it is actually quite pleasant out. I don’t even have to wear a jacket, (not that I ever do anyways, which is a great annoyance to my girlfriend).
I have to say that SCOPE’s Double Dare on Saturday in the Quad seemed to have a fair turn out, even though it was a bit chilly out. I wasn’t able to stay for long, but it seemed like everyone was having a great time. I am just so happy to see how the event has evolved and improved since its first year. Bravo SCOPE once again. You’re making the UNH community proud.
The Negatives:
It seems to me, but I am sure I am exaggerating this a bit, that everyone and there mother gets early picking for class registration. Frankly, I find it very frustrating, because I don’t feel as if all of them really need it: case and point would be note takers. Please give me a decent reason as to why they need early registration, because frankly, I have not heard a decent one yet.
I am sick and tired of people yelling out to tours and potential students that “UNH sucks! Don’t go here!” It is rude, unneeded, and not the proper mature way to express your dissatisfaction with an establishment.
The Battery Charge:
I have a theory as to why these students do what they do. I bet that if we pulled up their grades, they would be floating at roughly a 2.0. They are angry, because they thought college was going to be one big party, and so they let all their work slip. Now, the situation stands that if they went to transfer to another college, they would have to start from the bottom. They would most likely repeat the same pattern over and over again. In my opinion, these are petulant little whiners that just moan and complain when everything isn’t handed to them on a silver platter. Here is a thought. Try doing some work. And, if you are truly dissatisfied with something, try a productive way to change it instead of trying to ruin it for everybody else.
