The Positives:
I don’t know about all of you, but I had a rather fabulous vacation. It was full of travel, friends, food, and making maple syrup (a time consuming, yet very rewarding enterprise). I just hope everyone else had as good of a vacation as I did, and that we are all ready to buckle down and get back to classes.
Elections are coming up for a whole plethora of things, so make sure to keep your eyes open and get out there and meet the candidates!!!
The Negatives:
The weather has been beautiful, but as soon as we get back we get grey skies and snow flurries. It’s almost as if it is a sign from the gods themselves that we shouldn’t be back at school. We should instead be frolicking in fields of pansies to honor them in all their omnipotent glory (or whatever you do to pay homage to a god).
I have heard more and more people lately complaining because they got in trouble for doing something, and now they are saying that whoever reported them is “after them.” Well people, that’s just not true. You’re just bad, and you should feel bad.
The Battery Charge:
I know there are a lot of authority figures out there who get a bad rap, and one type in particular catches my eye: the resident assistants. The RA’s are always being blamed for having it out with particular individuals. Well guess what. If you are getting caught multiple times, the problem lies with you. Here is the thing people, if you do something wrong, you have to suffer the consequences of it. I know what you’re thinking; “Josh your just a goody-goody who never gets in trouble.” However, that is wrong, because I have been written up and had to suffer the consequences too. But in my situation, I admitted to my crime and faced the consequences with some dignity. You should try it sometime. It’s not so bad to actually act like an adult.
