The Positives:
I’ve been going to Snowball since my freshman year, and I have to say, as always, it was amazing: fun, food and drinks galore. One couldn’t have asked for a better night, especially with finals creeping up on us. It was a smashing way to relax.
I cannot wait till the break. I don’t know about all of you, but I am incredibly ready for the break and plan on having a lot of fun. (How could I not? I’m going on a cruise.) But no matter what you’re doing over the break, do me a favor and don’t do any school work okay.
The Negatives:
Finals are almost here. The one thing I have never understood is that every year you always have that class that meets at 10:50 a.m. or 3:05 p.m. yet its final is at 8:00 a.m.. What the heck is up with that?
It’s beginning to look a lot like…the holidays? I’m sorry people, but I think we are going a little overboard with this whole politically correct thing. Christmas is my celebrated holiday, so I’m going to wish you a Merry Christmas. Even if you celebrate Hanukkah, I would expect you to wish me such. Same goes for Kwanzaa or the Pastafarian ‘holiday.’
The Battery Charge:
Okay, I understand that because finals are longer than the actual class, maybe the time would have to be moved around a little. But 8:00 a.m.? Really? Most people can’t even function coherently in 8:00 a.m. classes, let alone during a final. Think about it. Some finals can be up to 60% of your grade. Do you really want to be taking that type of final at 8:00 a.m.?
