+ While The Summer Set was stellar (as expected), let’s not forget about UNH’s own musicians who played at Fall Fest, particularly a 90’s-00’s cover band whose name cannot be printed for fear of my grandmother keeling over when she reads it. Ask RA Andy, he’ll tell you what I’m talking about.
+ If any of you missed The Summer Set or still have yet to fully get your pop punk fix, it’s been announced that We the Kings is going to play at Swimsuit Sprint!
Negatives
– As much as we may have wanted it to be big (and give us a break), Hurricane Joaquin turned out to be a bust. If you think about it, though, it doesn’t really come as much of a surprise – after all, when was the last time that Joaquin Phoenix did something that lived up to the hype?
– I’m not completely positive what is/isn’t pop punk anymore because it seems to change with every boy band/angry former One Direction fan, so if I’m wrong and one/both bands mentioned isn’t a pop punk band anymore, just go anyway and please send all hate mail to [email protected].
The Battery Charge
Despite students’ tweets and statuses about a tropical storm making landfall and hitting Connecticut (specifically, New Haven) this weekend, I’ve been asked to inform everyone that it was a false alarm and nobody has to worry; it was just Richard Rotella and his tropical-colored pants.
