The Hazelnut Café is back in business for this semester! This spot in Maxcy is ideal for grabbing a freshly made muffin or cupcake (or both) before morning classes. But if you’re not a pastry person (is that a possible?) The café also has pizza, sandwiches, and salad options for lunch.

Congratulations to all the new pledges of the three PanHellenic sororities on campus– Delta Phi Epsilon, Phi Sigma Sigma, and Chi Khappa Ro! It’s the beginning of a great adventure for all you ladies; the bonds of sisterhood will last a lifetime.

Negatives

Soundview Hall is being renamed “Celentano” Hall, or “Chick” Hall…. say what? At least everyone on campus knows it as Soundview Hall, but when next year’s freshman start calling it Chick Hall, I don’t think I’ll know what to do with myself. We already lost New Hall; soon Soundview will become as ancient as Latin.

SCOPE signups for Six Flags New England reached a whopping 250 students. Unfortunately, only about 60 made it onto the trip, leaving a lot of students without Saturday plans. Maybe SCOPE should spend their budget on another bus and more tickets, instead of a butt caricature artist.

The Battery Charge

Varsity game season has started! Time to don our blue and gold and be proud Chargers. The first home football game is this Saturday at the Della Camera field; show up early to get seats, the stands get packed with students. Good luck to all!
