The Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity is the newest Greek-letter organization recognized by the University of New Haven’s USGA. Sigma Alpha Epsilon, SAE, has only been a colony for less than a year, but still has had an enormous impact at the University of New Haven. In less than a year, SAE has accomplished the following:
-Hosted the 1st annual “SAE Powerade World Cup” with national corporate sponsorship from Powerade
-Placed 1st amongst all fraternities in “Greek Week 2010” and 2nd overall among all organizations
-Organized a toy drive along with the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority to donate toys to children in the Yale/New Haven Hospital
-Sent brothers to the national SAE Leadership School on a cruise out of Miami, FL and into Mexico
-Participated in numerous philanthropic events throughout the New Haven community
All members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon strive to live by the True Gentlemen Creed. SAE encourages all men interested in learning about joining this strong brotherhood to come out to their Recruitment Week Events. SAE’s Recruitment Week consists of their traditional Monday “Stogies and Hoagies” informational and Tuesday’s trip to Hooters for all you can eat wings! On Wednesday, SAE and the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority are having an event of “Guess Who?” to bond with potentials. On Thursday night, the brothers will be hosting an arm wrestling competition for the chance to win tickets to Wiz Khalifa! The week ends on Friday with an invite only forum with the brothers and alumni throughout the northeast.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon has more initiates than any other Greek letter organization in the world. We encourage everyone to look into joining one of the largest brotherhoods in the world, and one of the new brotherhoods at the University of New Haven. Strive to be better, Strive to be a Gentleman, Strive to be SAE.
