Finals are here! SCOPE has done a spectacular job planning events this year, and we had fun planning events. This past week we had our Spring Weekend.

On Friday, April 27, SCOPE’s Spring Comedian this year was Stephen Lynch.  The Charger Gym was packed with students who wanted to watch his performance.  He was very hilarious, and made every student laugh and even some cry by how much they were laughing during his show. Everyone enjoyed him and kept talking about the show as they were walking back to campus.

On Saturday, April 28, SCOPE had its Spring Carnival at North Campus.  We had food, rides and games that everyone enjoyed.  We even had some giveaways that the students enjoyed and brought back to their rooms.  Some students stayed after the carnival and waited outside the gym to go see the concert.  DJ Earworm, Four Year Strong and Ludacris blew the roof off the stage and the place went wild. Everyone enjoyed the concert and were singing in the streets as they left with smiles on their faces and joy in their lives.

On Sunday, April 29, Spring Weekend concluded with the Drive-in movie in the Quad. This year’s showing was Underworld Awakening.  Everyone brought out their blankets and food as they enjoyed a nice showing of the movie.

SCOPE has one more event to end the year off, and it is with our end-of-the-semester relaxation package.  We will have an Ice Cream Sundae Bar, an Oxygen Bar, and Cyberdream, so you can relax and not have to stress about finals.  This will happen from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge.

We would like to thank everyone who has come to all the events SCOPE has held this year, and we cannot wait to expand and have bigger and better events in the future.
