It’s the middle of March, and we are all in the middle of or have already taken our midterms. SCOPE is here to calm everyone down and to help you relax through the stressful times of these midterms.
Before Spring Break, SCOPE had a good amount of events that did really well. On Friday March 2, SCOPE brought in Celebrity Ventriloquist Pete Michaels in the Alumni Lounge. He made everyone laugh and even got a couple of the students involved in a segment of his show. Also on Friday, we did a one showing only of Immortals in The Bartels Dining Hall. Students enjoyed the action filled movie.
On Saturday March 3, we brought Poet Carlos Robson to UNH. He did a workshop on English Literature before he performed some of his poetry. He had the students amazed, and they enjoyed what he said.
On Tuesday March 6, SCOPE was busy with four events going on all throughout the day. First, we had our “You’re After My Lucky Charms” event which had Lucky Charms Rice Crispy Treats, Mock-Tails, and Tie Pillows. Second, SCOPE had its monthly Beanhouse in the Bartels Programming Space. Students performed, and we even had Pop Violinist Josh Vietti come and wow the audience. He stayed after to sign autographs and hand out some copies of his CD. Going on simultaneously, SCOPE had “The J-Spot: A Sex Educator Tells All” happening in Dodds theater. He talked about how both parties can properly enjoy having sex. And lastly, SCOPE showed Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows in the Bartels Dining Hall. What a fun filled and busy day for SCOPE members.
We all at SCOPE hope everyone had a wonderful and safe spring break now that it’s over and we need to get back to work. Come to these SCOPE events this week to relax and get your mind off of school work.
