The first part of the semester is already in the books. Everyone is getting their first tests completed or their first cut into a project. But SCOPE is hard at work making sure you’re happy and enjoying the events we put on for you.
On Friday February 10, SCOPE had two events that the students really enjoyed. First we traveled back into the past with our “Wild Wild West” in the Alumni Lounge. Students enjoyed taking an antique photo, putting their faces on wanted posters, and even riding a mechanical bull. Then after “Wild Wild West,” students enjoyed free popcorn once again while watching Jack and Jill.
On Saturday February 11, SCOPE along with Victimology Club, Lambda Psi Delta, Sigma Iota Alpha, and Delta Phi Epsilon brought a program called “Sex Signals.” The show is an improv comedy about sex and if people are getting the signal.
On Tuesday February 14, also known as Valentine’s Day, SCOPE had three events that lasted throughout the day. First we had a “Sweethearts Day;” it included a chocolate fountain, photos with your loved one, and making paper flowers. Then, SCOPE brought back the “Female O!” We keep asking them back, and we always get a full house. Dodds Theater was packed once again! Everyone enjoyed the show. Also, SCOPE had its weekly movie, The Rum Diary, showing this week.
