What did you all miss last week, you ask? Well, lots of good stuff! Last Tuesday, tons of students got new spiffy belt buckles with their names or nicknames written on them. Others decorated flip flops to wear (someday, we will have no rain and snow). Other students came by to create marker art with their name or nickname on a mug, license plate, or trucker hat.
Those were really cool, and the people who did them did a great job!
Lastly, one of the favorites that people liked were the wire name sculptors: one guy stood there for four hours twisting wire to make names, add hearts, glue on dolphins, and create other symbols! It was a fun time and all students who came walked away with something.
If you put your name down for any one of these items and did not pick it up, we will hold them in the SCOPE office for about a week…after that, they will be discarded.
Last Friday, we had to postpone the murder mystery dinner because the university closed, but we will be re-scheduling so keep an eye out for signups in the future!
Saturday night, however, the weekend programming committee hosted “The Adult Circus!” For those of you who didn’t go, you really missed out on this one! Shame, shame, shame!
Performer Michael Dubois amazed the audience with a ton of circus stunts, and he really got the audience involved a lot. He did everything from juggling seven balls at once to mind reading and even uni-cycling!
If you missed last week’s events, keep an eye out and come to this week’s! Trust me, as the semester goes on you will all be very happy with what we have in store for you. That said, let’s get down to the good stuff: what’s going on this week! PS – IT’S FILM WEEK! 🙂
