As students get settled into their classes, the members of SCOPE are hard at work planning events and getting ready to keep the excitement going.
On Friday January 27, SCOPE held their first meeting of the year. Due to the rain, we did not have a lot of people attending. But as the weather get better, we are confident that more people will start attending meetings.
Also on Friday, SCOPE had their rendition of the Newlywed game call the Roommate Game. Students answered questions about their roommate and were able to see who knew each other the best.
SCOPE had another event on Friday as well, and it was our Friday showing of Real Steel. Students enjoyed some free popcorn while watching a great movie.
On Saturday January 28, SCOPE brought in Brian Rudo to perform some mystifying escapes and dare devilish activities. He kept the students in attendance at the German club mesmerized
On Tuesday January 31, SCOPE ended the first month of 2012 with the showing of Tower Heist. Students enjoyed the showing and laughed throughout the movie.
Here are some of the events SCOPE has going on for the rest of this week.
On Friday February 3, SCOPE will have CL Lindsey speak to the students starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge.
After you hear CL Lindsey Speak, at 9:00 p.m. you can go downstairs into the dining hall and see another showing of Tower Heist in case you wanted to see it again or missed the Tuesday showing.
On Tuesday February 6, at 9:00 p.m. in the Bartels Dining Hall, SCOPE will be showing Jack and Jill.
If you are interested in joining SCOPE, please come to our meetings at 12:30 p.m. on Fridays in Kaplan 107.
We hope you enjoy this week’s events. Bring some friends with you so they can also enjoy it, and not sit around doing nothing in their dorm rooms.
