This week is flying by with the break we have coming up. Even though everyone is excited about going home, don’t forget about SCOPE and the events we still have planned for you.
So far, last Thursday night, we’ve saw Jeff Havens teach us how to get fired, or what not to do at least. Maybe everyone should remember what he said and hopefully we can all keep our jobs later on in life.
A Spiderman’s Tail had everyone stuck inside Friday morning. Being able to stick to the walls was so much fun. It was even more fun being able to knock everyone down in pedestal jousting. It was almost like being a kid and sword fighting all over again.
Later on last Friday was Juggle This. I don’t think I could ever do anything like that, but I know it’s always fun to watch. All the times I’ve tried juggling, I’ve never been that good.
While there was juggling in the Alumni Lounge, the Smurfs was playing again in the Bartels Dining Hall once again. The little blue adventure still hasn’t gotten old.
The this past Saturday night, everyone was able to learn a little at Invisible Children. It was something that we could all relate to because of who started it all. Just because we are young, it doesn’t mean we can’t change someone else’s life for the better.
Plenty of people showed up to Cowboys and Aliens on Tuesday night. It was an amazing movie and it’s going to be playing again on Friday at 9:00 p.m.
Hopefully not everyone is leaving for home before the week is over though, because there are some great trips coming up! For all those Twilight fans, SCOPE is bringing you to see Breaking Dawn Part 1 on Thursday night for the Midnight showing. Hopefully everyone who wants to go signed up in time. But if you’re on the waitlist, don’t get your hopes down; you never know when someone will drop out.
There will also be a bowling trip on Saturday. The bus will be leaving in front of Maxcy at 6:00 p.m. and will be back later that night. The signups will be tonight (Wednesday November 16) at 9:00 p.m. Be sure to check ChargerConnection for the link to sign up.
This Friday, Nate Staniforth will be wowing everyone with his magic at 7:00 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge. Magic will always be a crowd favorite. There’s always new tricks being created, and they will always amaze people no matter how many times we see it.
Cowboys and Aliens will be playing again in the Bartels Dining Hall at 9:00 p.m. Friday night. Be sure to bring your movie cards if you didn’t go on Tuesday. There are only a few more movies left to fill up that card and get your movie passes.
And lastly, be sure to enjoy your break and come back ready for the end of the semester. Just because the semester is winding down, SCOPE is not done planning things. On Monday, November 28, you can come make your own dream catchers in the Bartels Programming Space from 12:30-4:30 p.m.
And the second to last movie, we will be playing is Crazy Stupid Love. It will be playing on Tuesday, November 30 at 9:00 p.m. in the Bartels Dining Hall.
