People in Milford are on a mission to save the city’s diner. The iconic Milford Diner, was built back in 1946 and is getting a new life as a local information center in time for the summer tourist season.

The diner has been neglected fot about six years, however News Channel 8’s Crystal Haynes tells us how a non-profit group is stepping up and taking on the task of restoring the 1946 “Silk City” chrome diner.

The Milford Diner committee say it needs about $80,000 dollars and a lot of determination to transform the neglected restaurant into the cherished Milford landmark it once was.

Organizer say that type of money does not come easy and that is why they are kicking off a major event to help raise the funds.
