Bingo, and sisters, and sex toys, oh my! On Tuesday, March 31, the sisters of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority hosted their 4th Annual XXXtravaganza.

XXXtravaganza is definitely not your average bingo night. The lower level of Bartels was jam-packed with sexual education and fun! This 4th annual XXXtravaganza ran similarly to a typical bingo night with one significant exception. Between rounds, the sisters of Phi Sig shared facts about safe sex, allowing for an entertaining yet informative evening. There were 15 rounds of bingo, with steamy prizes.
Prizes for each round varied, but among some of those prizes were sex-themed, cleverly titled gift baskets. Among those themed baskets were “Fifty Shades of Grey,” “Guy’s Night In,” “The Morning After,” and more, each containing items coordinating with their title.
The annual XXXtravaganza was a crucial event in regards to fundraising. Kirsten Cunningham, a member of Phi Sig, said, “It’s the biggest event all year for raising money to go towards our philanthropy.”
All the proceeds raised at XXXtravaganza went to the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation, which promotes school and college readiness for those who are less fortunate. The Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation offers scholarships, helps fund and create leadership opportunities, and promotes higher education and achievement in members and alumnae.
The amount raised has not yet been disclosed, however, Katie McNamara, the event coordinator, considered the event “very successful.” The entire floor space was full of students and supporters, all there for one good cause.
