Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has officially announced that he will be playing Black Adam in the Shazam movie. He has been rumored to be playing either Black Adam, Shazam or Green Lantern for the past few months.

Strangely, DC has hinted that the Shazam film may not be a part of the broader Justice League Universe, but we do not know for fact.

DC finally gave way in the game of chicken. Since the beginning of the summer both Batman V. Superman and Captain America 3 were set to release on the same day, April 16, 2016. DC finally announced they will change their release date and premier one month earlier.

Joaqine Pheonix is in final contract negotiations to play Dr. Strange in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character was hinted at in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Martin Scorsese revealed he will be directing a biopic based on the punk rock band The Ramones. No release date has officially been announced, but he did say it will be in theaters by 2016.

Warner Brothers revealed Davit Yates, who directed Harry Potter films five through eight, will be directing the Harry Potter spin-off film entitled Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which takes place 70 years before Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
