I am sitting outside on the roof top of my hostel in Morocco writing this.
Getting here was a crazy experience. In Prato, there was a terrible storm with insane winds. All the state schools in Prato were closed. Tiles and plants were blown everywhere all over the road. Our train to Florence was cancelled, so we had to take a taxi instead.
In Florence, we took a bus to the Pisa airport. Everything was running so close to each other that we were so afraid we were going to miss our plane. It took us forever to get through the airport, but we made the plane with only a few minutes to spare. The plane ride was three hours.
When we got to the airport we were picked up by our hostel in a party bus. We were then dropped off and lead through the crazy streets of Marrakech. It was so dark and there were people everywhere. They were all so friendly saying hello to us and telling us welcome. We were lead though crazy winding streets. The hostel is so beautiful. It has a pool and is covered in beautiful tile—not at all how I pictured a hostel to look. We are sharing a room with eight people. It definitely is an experience I’ll never forget.
Today we are going ATV riding and camel riding in the desert. I am so excited to get a henna tattoo too! This is going to be one trip I will never forget!
