Positives
+ For those who were lucky enough to celebrate the end of summer at home, Labor Day weekend was a great way to relax and celebrate the end of summer before officially getting on that college grind.
+ Everybody who stayed on campus got to watch the UNH football team’s first game against Slippery Rock. Go Chargers!
Negatives
-Unfortunately, that annoying kid in your math class did not chicken out and decide to stay home after Labor Day was over, so you’re going to have to continue to listen to his rants on why robots are going to take over the world.
-While the Chargers gave the game their all, Slippery Rock ended up beating our poor, nearly defenseless team 39-13. Which is surprising, considering that, with a name like “Slippery Rock,” you’d think they wouldn’t be that good.
The Battery Charge
Another tip for the freshmen: making friends at college is great–it’s actually imperative to having an enjoyable college experience. While it may take longer for some than others, if you look hard enough, you’ll definitely find some people out there that you get along with so well that, by the end of your college career, you won’t want to leave. Just be sure that you actually do leave, unlike last year’s USGA president Richard Rotella. Graduation was four months ago, Richard. Time to move on.
