WOODBRIDGE, Conn. – The University of New Haven women’s tennis team concluded its 2011-12 season on Saturday afternoon in a 1-8 loss to Pace University of Amity High School. The Chargers finish the season with a 1-12 overall record as well as a 1-12 record in Northeast-10 Conference play. The Setters also concluded their season, with a 2-11 overall record and a 2-11 record in conference play.

The Chargers earned a point in No. 4 singles with a straight-set (6-0, 6-0) victory by Nan Sirihorachai (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro North). Other top performers in the singles competition were Jessica MacPhee with six sets in No. 6 singles. Lindsey Conley (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury ) and Bre Kraynak both earned four sets in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.

The Chargers doubles teams also came close to earning points in the match. Conley and Kraynak teamed in No. 1 doubles and narrowly suffered an 8-6 loss. MacPhee and Christina Santos (Wolcott, Conn./Wolcott) teamed in No. 2 doubles to record six set victories as well.
