The Undergraduate Student Government Association (USGA) is a student-run organization charged with being the liaison between the students of the university and the administration. It is responsible for representing the undergraduates at UNH. Comprised of senators and club representatives for over 80 organizations, the USGA has a budget of over $1.3 million to plan events for the UNH undergraduate student body.

On the weekend of Jan. 22 and 23, members of this organization traveled to Boston, Massachusetts to convene and discuss the direction of the USGA and how to be successful as a USGA-recognized organization. Over thirty students were in attendance.

The executive board of the USGA, Chris Rinck, president, Chris Dempsey, vice president, Heather Brown, treasurer, Darianna Frometa, executive assistant, and Deshawn McGregor, sergeant-at-arms, along with USGA advisor Greg Overend, Director of Student Activities, made presentations to the group. These presentations included the many events that the USGA pays for, how to fill out USGA forms correctly, what class executive boards can do for you, what traditions exist at UNH and what we could make into traditions among others.

The students also bonded during meals and during the free time offered to take in the sights and sounds of Boston.

Keep your eyes peeled for new and exciting changes to take place within the USGA that will affect the campus on the whole!
