All Proceeds will be Donated to the Humane Society
WEST HAVEN- Students in MG 475 Sport Event Management will be hosting The Dodge for Dogs Dodgeball Tournament on April 30, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at the David A. Beckerman Recreation Center. The Dodge for Dogs Dodgeball Tournament will be the first of many Spring Weekend Activities taking place on campus that weekend. Participants and spectators will have the opportunity to eat free food and win electronics.
Spring Weekend is one of the most exciting times to be on campus at UNH. Many events such as the Spring Concert and the Spring Carnival take place on campus. The Dodge for Dogs Dodgeball Tournament is a great way to bring the UNH Community together in the spirit of fair competition to kick off the weekend of entertainment. Many of the events at Spring Weekend are for entertainment, which is always great, but the Dodge for Dogs Dodgeball Tournament offers not only entertainment, but it allows the students to have competitive fun.
The UNH Community has often been recognized for working with several charities. It is important to note all proceeds raised from the Dodge for Dogs Dodgeball Tournament will be donated to the Human Society. The Humane Society strives to raise awareness about neglected animals, and gives people the opportunity to adopt neglected animals. By having this event on Spring Weekend, it allows more people to be exposed to the evident problem of animal abuse across the United States, and that will hopefully attract more donations for this great cause.
If you are interested in signing up a team of six (you may have more players as substitutes on your team if you would like to) you can go to the Quad or the David A. Beckerman Recreation Center and sign up at our table from Monday April 19th to Thursday April 22nd. Each player who participates must pay a five dollar entry fee. If the fee is not paid, then the participant will not be permitted to play in the tournament. If you would like any more information, you can email Mike Preleski at [email protected] or Rob Bergman at [email protected]. Don’t Miss out on the fun!
