Bernard Risco and Kristen Lee have been named the NewHavenChargers.com Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 11, 2012. NewHavenChargers.com will select its Student-Athletes of the Week every Monday throughout the 2012-13 academic year.

Bernard Risco (Philadelphia, Pa./James Hillhouse) had two interceptions and five tackles in the inaugural Northeast-10 Football Championship Game, guiding New Haven to the conference crown with a 37-12 win over American International. Risco, who was selected to the All-Championship Team, had a pick with the Chargers trailing, 6-3, and then another interception in the end zone to stall an AIC drive at the two-yard line.

Kristen Lee (Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty) hit a team-best .312 while posting 2.42 kills and 2.67 digs per set as the women’s volleyball team went 3-0 to complete its fifth-consecutive undefeated Northeast-10 Regular Season Championship. Lee added nine service aces, six assists and had a hand in two blocks in the victories over American International, Pace and Bentley.
