Co-Sponsoring Takes Cooperation
RSOs, many of you have a co-sponsoring budget that’s sole purpose is to co-sponsor other organization’s events, so use it! Every week, organizations are looking for co-sponsorships for their events. The money allocated in your budget for co-sponsorships can be used to help out other organization’s events and can also help your organization get more involved with different groups on campus, kindle new connections and participate in events with organizations that may be completely different from their own.
If your RSO chooses to co-sponsor with another organization by use of USGA funds, it is vitally important to ensure that your RSO has a co-sponsoring budget. If so, the RSO that decides to co-sponsor must fill out a funds transfer form that has to be signed by both the treasurer of the RSO transferring the funds as well as the treasurer of the RSO receiving the funds. This way, the funds will actually be transferred for the co-sponsorship!
Sincerely,
John Foti
