Welcome Back!

RSOs: a new semester is upon us! A new semester provides RSOs with the opportunity to start off fresh! At this point, time is your best friend because you have the entire semester to plan events and utilize your USGA budgets.
However, even though this is only the beginning of the semester, this is when your RSOs should be coming out of the gates firing on all cylinders to plan events for the remainder of the year.

Make sure that committees and members within your RSOs are meeting regularly to plan and organize events even if the event doesn’t take place until May! As I have mentioned many times before, the earlier RSOs submit paperwork that deal with their events, the less chaotic and stressful it can be when planning events.

It’s always a good idea to set up event timelines and check lists so that you can be on top of your event planning. Take advantage of the time that you have now at the beginning of the semester before school work and other commitments begin to pile up! The first couple weeks of the semester are so important in determining the tone for an RSO and how that RSO will fare in terms of events for the rest of the year!
