The fight for middle Earth continues in the third movie of… Wait sorry that was Lord of the Rings, but in the third movie of the Transformers series, the fight for Earth does continue; you can see the similarities.
On Friday, September 30, the SCOPE Film Committee had their second showing of the weekly movie, and man was it a good one. Tons of students came out to see Transformers: Dark of the Moon and eat some popcorn. The Bartels Cafeteria was full of eager students ready to watch the movie on a big screen with surround sound; it was like sitting in the movie theaters.
Again this movie is about the fight between the Autobots (the good guys) and the Decepticons (the bad guys) trying to save their races and either find peace for their kind or try to enslave planet Earth; guess which characters want what. And again Earth is in the middle, and Sam Witwiky is helping to try and save it. In this movie, the Autobots and the Decepticons are fighting over a space craft found on the moon that might hold secrets to their old planet and their fight.
While students were watching all the fantastic special effects and hearing all the jokes mixed in with all the fighting, they were enjoying the SCOPE made popcorn. The popcorn was buttery and just plain delicious. It was a great night with a great movie with fantastic effects and jokes all brought together with great popcorn. SCOPE shows a movie like this every week so students should be catching up on some summer movies, like Bad Teacher and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II coming up soon.
