There have been decades of movies; some have been flops but others have risen to the rare esteem of a classic, and with the new movie musketeers movie, I think there may be another classic working its way up.
This past Friday, The Three Musketeers fought its way to the top in the movie theaters. It was amazing seeing the three greatest swordsmen in action again. This movie had almost everything in it: intelligence, brute force, romance, betrayal, and more which kept the audience hanging onto their seats the entire time.
The movie followed the young D’Artagnan, played by Logan Lerman, and his mission to get to France and become a musketeer. He hits some bumps along the way, but does get the chance to prove himself, both in skills and courage. Of course he meets up with the three most famous musketeers: Athos (Matthew Macfadyen), Aramis (Luke Evens), and Porthos (Ray Stevenson). They get the chance to save France from getting involved in an unnecessary war by helping the young queen.
It was a fantastic movie with a great cast that may not be well known; but they were perfect for the parts and really brought the movie to life. The cast included Orlando Bloom and Milla Jovovich, who played their roles perfectly as well. Not only was the cast a good pick for the movie, but the attire in the movie was extraordinary. Each outfit was well put together and very intricate. But the real gem of the movie was the story and plot which just had you amazed.
The movie was fantastic and lives up to its name. One can only hope that there will be more to come.
