The Charger Bulletin is pleased to announce their newfound membership in the College Newspaper Business & Advertising Managers (CNBAM). Five select members of the staff will be attending the annual CNBAM convention in March 2010, slated this year for the heart of Los Angeles.
Via a press release on their website, CNBAM recently said:
CNBAM proudly announces the latest addition to its membership roster. The Charger Bulletin is a 1,400 circulation broadsheet in print and is published daily online, serving an enrollment of 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students at the University of New Haven in West Haven, Conn. Zack Rosen serves as the organization’s editor-in-chief and Greg Overend is the group’s adviser.
CNBAM introduces itself as a representation of a cross-section of colleges from across the country. Some are daily, some are weekly; some receive school funding, some are totally independent. Some have circulations under 5,000 and some have circulations over 30,000. But all members of the CNBAM are invested in education.
CNBAM represents ambitious, talented, dedicated college students who supplement their classroom education with practical, real-world experience.
CNBAM’s student members are account executives, managers, graphic artists and production supervisors. They make cold calls, design ads, plan budgets and maintain computer networks. Members don’t “play” newspaper. They produce one.
