Rides, games, shopping, food, shows, animals… you name it the Big E had it. SCOPE took its annual trip to the Big E on Friday, September 23 with two buses full of students. The hour trip up there was worth the wait, because when the students got there, they dashed for the nearest food stand, shopping center, or ride.
Everyone loves a carnival and the Big E had rides and games that brought you back to your childhood carnival days. The famous topsy turvy houses, Ferris wheels, roller coasters, and those games that nobody ever wins but are fun to play anyways were all there. Even if you just walked around and watched all the lights flashing you could have enjoyed yourself.
Now for all the girls that went, they must have enjoyed themselves because there were plenty of shopping centers to go around. You could find anything from gear, cellphones accessories, mops, car wax, and all that stuff from those infomercials. If you bring plenty of money, you can buy anything your did desire, do desire, or would desire in the future.
For the people that wanted to spend their money on anything but shopping, they could have their pick of any type of food. Of course they had all the fried foods; like cheesecake, ice cream, vegetables, burgers, oreo cookies, every candy bar you can think of, and the new fried food of the year fried bubble gum. Then there was Chinese food, Greek food, pizza, and the best of all baked potatoes.
There are tons of other great aspects of the Big E, and there is fun for everyone. If you have a chance to go, it doesn’t end until this Sunday, October 2. Go have fun and eat lots of food, then ride a roller coaster and throw up, then eat again, and finally shop and see all the sights because I know that all the students that went on the trip this past Friday had more fun than they ever have.
