Let’s talk about Thanksgiving. We’ve all been waiting for this time of year. The air’s getting cooler, the trees are changing colors and we’re coming up on a holiday known for having your family members fight to tear open a turkey, yet value the feeling of togetherness that we all need to experience in this world. “We Are Family” by Sister Sledge
This is a staple family get-together song. Just look at the title! Sister Sledge, a popular R&B/disco group, pumped out a dance-party worthy track to get the energy flowing even after scarfing down that huge turkey at the dinner table. There’s no reason to not have this unforgettable Beatles track on your Thanksgiving Day soundtrack. Pulled from their Abbey Road album, “Come Together” is perfect to listen to during that infamous post-Thanksgiving dinner hang out. If you’re still not convinced, know that this song has also frequently appeared on numerous publications’ lists of the best Beatles hits including Rolling Stones.

There’s definitely “something special” about two-time Grammy Award winner Colbie Calliet. After hearing this song, you’ll agree that she knows a thing or two about releasing pop hits. Now, everyone has heard this popular song, either on the radio or as you’re passively watching TV and have stumbled upon a few television commercials and promos. The American Idol winner gave the world the perfect song, providing a warm and cozy feeling that everyone desires during Thanksgiving.

Famously heard in the CBS Special “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” this Vince Guaraldi Trio hit will definitely have the memories flooding back of you as a child, sitting in front of the TV watching this iconic program. For those that aren’t familiar with the “Peanuts” franchise, don’t fret! Just trust that the name says it all.
In honor of Swift’s recent album release “All Too Well,” we have to include “Out of the Woods.” An oldie but a goodie, this 2014 release mixes pop with synth elements for you to fall into that good old Thanksgiving-friendly vibes.
