Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens. The Steelers escaped last week with a win over the Browns after blowing a 27-3 lead. The defense has to improve next week to down the Ravens. Baltimore attempted a comeback against the Bengals but fell short. The Ravens need to play all-around better football this week to beat the Steelers. Expect a close game with the Steelers using their high-powered offense to start the season 2-0.
Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills. Miami played with lots of energy Sunday in their upset win over the Patriots. The Dolphins should use that momentum and their running game to rack up another win. Buffalo had their own upset win over the Bears in overtime and should put up a fight. Expect a close game with the Dolphins taking home the win.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Washington Redskins. Jacksonville played the Eagles well in the first half last week. The Jaguars need consistent play though for all 60 minutes to win. Expect the Jaguars to overcome a Redskins team that still has plenty of questions surrounding them.
Dallas Cowboys @ Tennessee Titans. The Titans pulled out a win in Week One over the Chiefs. If QB Jake Locker stays healthy, they could have a good year. Tony Romo threw three interceptions for the Cowboys in a dismal opening day performance. Expect Romo to make corrections next week, but fall to 0-2 with a loss to the upstart Titans.
Arizona Cardinals @ New York Giants. Arizona just missed the playoffs last year. Expect them to have another good season and fight for a playoff spot. The Giants were improved toward the end of last season after a bad start but will need strong play this year from Eli Manning to contend in the NFC. Expect the Cardinals to shutdown the Giants.
New England Patriots @ Minnesota Vikings. Tom Brady should have his team ready this week after falling apart in the second half against the Dolphins. The Patriots failed to score in the second half last week. Expect the Patriots to win big over the Vikings, who played well in an opening week win over the shorthanded Rams.
New Orleans Saints @ Cleveland Browns. The Saints need to put last week behind them after losing in overtime to Atlanta and come out and shut down the Browns. The Browns fell short in coming back against the Steelers, after being down 27-3 at halftime. Expect the Saints to take care of business in Cleveland.
Atlanta Falcons @ Cincinnati Bengals. Matt Ryan had a career game throwing for 448 yards in Week One for the Falcons. The win was much needed for the Falcons after a down year. Atlanta needs an improved defense if they want to build a winning streak. Expect a close and exciting game with the Falcons coming out on top.
Detroit Lions @ Carolina Panthers. With or without Cam Newton under center for the Panthers, the Lions should escape with a win. The Panthers won their first season opener since 2008 Sunday, but will need to execute better against a tough Lions team. The Lions should handle the Panthers easily.
St. Louis Rams @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This could be a sloppy game. Both teams didn’t play entirely well to open their seasons. Without Sam Bradford again, the Rams don’t have much of a chance this season. Expect the Bucs to win the game.
Seattle Seahawks @ San Diego Chargers. Seattle picked up opening night against the Packers where they left off last year when they won the Super Bowl. They handled Aaron Rodgers and the Packers nicely. The defense lived up to expectations. Expect the Seahawks to go on the road and beat the Chargers in San Diego.
Houston Texans @ Oakland Raiders. The Texans snapped a 14-game losing streak by beating the Redskins last week. However, they did lose Jadeveon Clowney to a possible torn meniscus; he could miss some time. The Raiders didn’t show a whole lot in their loss to the Jets. Rookie quarterback Derek Carr was the only bright spot for Oakland. Expect an easy win for the Texans on the road.
New York Jets @ Green Bay Packers. Green Bay looks to rebound after an opening loss in Seattle to the defending Super Bowl Champions. Aaron Rodgers struggled at times with the offensive line failing to provide proper protection. The Packers should make adjustments and come ready to take down the Jets. The Jets played well enough to win in their opener at home against the Oakland Raiders.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos. Kansas City played poorly to start the season after last year’s incredible season. They were outplayed all game by the Titans. Peyton Manning and the Broncos looked good in their first game since their disastrous Super Bowl showing. Peyton Manning has his same form and worked well with his new receivers. Denver should win easily at home.
Chicago Bears @ San Francisco 49ers. San Francisco took care of business of in their season opener in Dallas. They played well on both sides of the ball. Look for more of the same against the Bears. Chicago lost in overtime to a Bills team, a team the Bears should have beat. The 49ers look to make their fourth straight NFC Championship game this season.
Philadelphia Eagles @ Indianapolis Colts. Indianapolis tried to mount a big comeback against the Broncos in their opener on Sunday Night Football, but fell short. Andrew Luck looked good in the latter parts of the game. Expect him to be even better against a shaky Eagles’ defense. Philadelphia had to rally against the lowly Jaguars to pull off a win. Expect the Eagles to play better, but Andrew Luck and his offense will be too much for the Eagles and their defense to overcome.
