“Danciest Indie I”

My name is Michael Quick and I’m a senior Music and Sound Recording Major here at the University of New Haven.
In every issue of the Charger Bulletin this year, I am going to include a “Playlist of the Week” (in addition to album reviews and miscellaneous music articles). I listen to a pretty wide variety of music, so I’m going to try and mix it up each week to hopefully have something for everyone.
For our first week back in school, I decided to migrate over one of my personal playlists “Danciest Indie.”
It’s full of a bunch of contemporary, upbeat indie and alt songs from the past few years that’ll hopefully help to get you back into the swing of things on campus.
Some songs of note include: “The Judge,” a ukulele driven song off twenty one pilots’ new album, The Struts’ “Could Have Been Me,” a song that blends an 80s vibe with an early 2000s rock sound, and two tracks by the South African band Civil Twilight.
