This past weekend’s events for SCOPE were some of the best choices to finish off the year. On Saturday, April 21 students lined up outside of Maxcy at 8:00 a.m. ready to get on the bus to head towards Six Flags in New Jersey. After last semesters trip misha,p the students were ready to have some fun.
It was a long drive down there, but as soon as the signs for Six Flags Great Adventure came into view, there was rustling on the buses as the students got excited to have a great day.
Not only was it exciting to see the signs, but it was exciting that the sun was shining and there was no chance of having the day ruined.
Students filed off the buses and grabbed their tickets; off they went. Once students had the go ahead, there was no stopping them. Students spent the day riding rides, like Batman and Superman, Kingda Ka, El Toro, Skull Mountain, and much more. The wait in the lines was all worth it as hearts pumped and screams were heard throughout the park from university students. There was no ride that student didn’t conquer.
Not only were students going on rides, but they were also all over the park playing games, eating some great park food, and there was some shopping. Students were walking around with giant stuffed animals, crazy hats, and some superhero gear.
As students got back onto the buses, exhausted and ready to pass out, they collapsed into their seats and slept on the entire ride home. From the snores being heard on the buses, it was a great day for everyone.
