Last Saturday, Feb. 2, you may have noticed many unrecognizable faces on campus wearing Sigma Chi apparel. This is due to the fact that the University of New Haven Sigma Chi chapter hosted their annual Province Conference right here on campus!
Sigma Chi is an international fraternity based on the wholesome core values of Friendship, Justice and Learning, and every year each province in the U.S. and Canada hosts a Province Conference, where each chapter from the regional area come together to discuss accomplishments and improvements for their chapters.
The CT/Rhode Island province has received many awards for their excellent performance and is considered one of the top performing provinces in the country. One of the many accomplishments includes UNH’s chapter receiving a Gold Peterson, an award given to chapters that excel exceptionally in all aspects of chapter operations, a distinguished honor that was only awarded to 6 of 240+ chapters in the country.
Grand Officers Dennis Santoli and Skip Flynn decided to attend the CT/RI conference, speaking about their experiences with Sigma Chi, making it an incredible honor for the brothers of Sigma Chi here at UNH. So if you are looking for an organization with wholesome values, strong brotherhood and progression, then Sigma Chi is the place for you! For more information, get in contact with any brother of Sigma Chi here at UNH or send an email to [email protected].
